#BBSF Code of Conduct
We want to ensure all members feel happy and comfortable at all gigs. The #BBSF Code of Conduct provides expectations of all members during performances and after hangs. Contact a volunteer leader for more information on the Code of Conduct.
All participants in Burlesque Band of San Francisco (#BBSF hereafter) shall act with honesty, integrity, inclusion, respect, and openness while participating in #BBSF activities including performances, rehearsals, and #BBSF organized group events.
Honesty: The quality of being fair and truthful with other #BBSF musicians, spectators, and hosts.
Integrity: The state of being whole and undivided, and watching out for the well-being of fellow #BBSF musicians, spectators, or anyone who might cross paths with #BBSF.
Inclusion: All people have the right to participate in #BBSF performances, whether it be as performers or spectators, regardless of race, ability, sexual orientation, gender, or any other personal characteristic.
Respect: Treating fellow #BBSF musicians, spectators and hosts as they wish to be treated, by honoring emotional and physical boundaries, and being aware of the impact the #BBSF has on spaces they are invited to perform.
Openness: Being respectful of different opinions, and receptive to feedback on all aspects of participation in the #BBSF including performances, interactions with fellow musicians, and interactions with spectators.
The #BBSF is a fully volunteer organization, and leadership is relies on members who are willing to donate time to plan performances, rehearsals, and other #BBSF events. By filling out this form, you will abide by the #BBSF Code of Conduct in such a way that both entertains our audience, respects our volunteer leaders, and projects a culture of inclusion and respect for people from all walks of life. Expression of burlesque and the band experience is representative when everyone strives for mutual respect and trust.
